Terms of Service

Effective 8 August 2026

1. What SoyGunn is — and is not

SoyGunn (ຊ່ວຍກັນ) is a record-keeping tool for private loans between people who know each other. It helps two individuals document a loan, sign an agreement, schedule repayments, and keep a shared payment history.

SoyGunn is not a bank, licensed credit institution, money lender, payment service provider, or intermediary. SoyGunn never lends money, never borrows money, and never receives, holds, or forwards funds. All repayments travel directly from borrower to lender through the parties' own bank accounts (for example via a LAO QR transfer).

2. Loan agreements are between users

Every loan recorded on SoyGunn is a private contract between the lender and the borrower. SoyGunn is not a party to that contract, does not guarantee repayment, does not underwrite or assess credit risk on either side, and does not collect debts. Whether to lend, how much, and on what terms is entirely the users' decision and responsibility.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts to use SoyGunn. You must provide accurate identity information and keep your account credentials secure. One account per person.

4. Interest and fair terms

SoyGunn enforces a maximum flat interest rate in the app. Users remain responsible for ensuring the terms of their loans comply with the laws of the Lao PDR, including any applicable interest caps under the Civil Code. Using SoyGunn to run a commercial lending business is not permitted.

5. Payments and reconciliation

Repayment QR codes carry the lender's own receiving details. Payment records shown in SoyGunn (whether from a bank callback or a lender-confirmed transfer receipt) are a bookkeeping aid; the authoritative record of any transfer is the parties' bank statements.

6. Credit ratings

SoyGunn shows a simple repayment-history score for borrowers. It is informational only, based solely on activity recorded in SoyGunn, and is not a credit report or a recommendation to lend.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use SoyGunn for unlawful lending, money laundering, harassment or intimidation of borrowers, recording fictitious loans, or any activity that violates Lao PDR law. We may suspend or close accounts involved in such activity.

8. No warranties; limitation of liability

SoyGunn is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoyGunn and its operators are not liable for unpaid loans, disputes between users, losses caused by incorrect information entered by users, or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

9. Termination

You may stop using SoyGunn at any time and request deletion of your account. Records of loans that involve another user may be retained as part of that user's history where required.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app and the effective date above will change. These terms are governed by the laws of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
